Meet The Knodle Family

Like any interesting road trip, our journey in farming has not been a straight-line. We began farming in 1993, growing corn, soybeans, and winter wheat. In 2015, we purchased some pregnant Black Angus cows to begin a small cow-calf herd — now 20 cow-calf pairs today. While we both come from a long line of farmers, we’re believers in “learning by doing” — like adopting new practices such as no-till and cover crops. Trying new things certainly comes with its challenges, but also lots of opportunities for growth and improvement.

It’s amazing to see how far ag technology has come since we started using precision tools in the mid-1990s.

Whether it’s studying agriculture in college, expanding opportunities on the farm, or getting involved with FFA, our four children have remained active in the ag industry.
