Meet The Griffel Family

I am the sixth generation on our family farm in central Illinois, growing corn, soybeans, and wheat alongside my dad while also raising a cow-calf beef herd. I returned to the family farm in 2018. It’s had its ups and downs, but ultimately, it gives me a strong sense of purpose and a connection with the generations of farmers that cared for the land before me. Not too many people get to work with their family, let alone with their father and their son at the same time. And the care that goes into farming — that’s what I want people to know. Farmers care about providing safe and healthy food for their own family and others. They care about ensuring the ground is well maintained and can provide for the next generation. Farmers care about people.
