About Paul and Donna Jeschke
TO FELLOW MOMS: I GET IT
As a
mom, a
grandmother, a
wife and a
farmer, I want to feed my family
food that is healthy and nutritious. We are so fortunate to live in a country where food is abundant, safe and, compared to other nations, reasonably priced. So as farmers, my family takes very seriously our job of growing crops that will
become food for your plate.
A SHORT DRIVE FROM THE CITY
We farm near Mazon in Grundy County, just 75 miles southwest of Chicago. Our fertile soils grow corn and soybeans, and because of our farm’s location, some of the grain we grow is exported to feed families around the world. Paul and I love to have friends, new and old, visit the farm. Living so close to Chicago has given us the opportunity to welcome many folks to our family farm, and we’d love to sit on our porch and have a conversation with you anytime!
BROUGHT TOGETHER BY AGRICULTURE
I met Paul at the University of Illinois when we were studying agriculture. Today, we farm together with my brother’s family. Our son Stephen lives in Chicago, but often comes back to the farm with his family. We love spending time with our grandchildren and having them help alongside us at the farm.
