ANDY AND SARAH LENKAITIS
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Our family dairy farm was started by Albert Sr. and Mary Etta in 1983 with just five animals. Today, the farm is home to 160 Red and White Holstein cattle and is enjoyed by three generations of the Lenkaitis family – including Albert and Mary Etta’s four children and 11 grandchildren. In addition to milking cows, we grow crops for feed and sell manure to local landscapers and neighbors who need fertilizer.
NEW GENERATION, NEW TECHNOLOGY
We began farming in partnership with Andy’s parents in 2014. By 2018, we decided to build a new barn equipped with the latest technology to improve cow comfort and the safety of the people who care for them. The barn includes robotic milkers, cow brushes, an automated manure system and herd management software to monitor cow health.
OUR BARN DOORS ARE OPEN
We’re proud of what we do. Our barn doors are open; we offer tours to our community that showcase our modern barn and approach to family farming. We hope it serves as an opportunity for our neighbors and the surrounding community to ask questions and learn more about the people and dairy cows behind the nutritious milk and dairy foods we all enjoy.
