Eckert’s Best Apple Pie

Our family has tasted quite a few apple pies throughout seven generations of apple growing, and one thing is for certain: a pie with a combination of Golden Delicious and Jonathan apples is, hands-down, our family’s favorite. In fact, the Eckert family is partial to a specific combination of one Golden Delicious apple for every four Jonathan apples. This tangy combination provides just the right amount of sweet and tart to compliment a crumb-top pie.
