pop-kob popcorn

Enjoy the Illinois state snack grown by Illinois farmers

For five generations our family has taken great pride in farming the rich prairie soils overlooked by Pilot Knob, a local high point near Oneida, Illinois. Our prized crop – premium, hull-less popcorn – is grown with special care and passion for a more natural taste and better texture. We are the popcorn experts for a reason, and we think you’ll agree once you try our Blue Bounty and Rustic Red varieties, as well as our fun and unique Popcob!

BLUE BOUNTY

Different types of kernels have distinctly different characteristics, and we’ve carefully hand-selected specific varieties to give our customers a unique and delicious experience. Pilot Knob’s Blue Bounty popcorn tends to be crispier with a nutty flavor and is, of course, hull-less. A larger surface area gives a satisfying crunch, making it the perfect, hearty snack after a hard day at work, a busy day at school, or a frenzied day of playing outside in the yard.

RUSTIC RED

Like everything we do, we put a great deal of thought into what kind of popcorn kernel will result in the most satisfying snacking experience for our customers. Our Rustic Red popcorn has a distinctly bold, naturally salty taste, making it an ideal, simply healthy treat. Like all of our popcorn, this variety is hull-less, but Rustic Red is also particularly tender and perfect for movie night or for enjoying while watching the kids play in their big game.

POPCOB

If you’re looking to take your snacking experience to the next level, Pilot Knob’s Popcob is just the thing. Uniquely, it features our tasty Rustic Red popcorn on the ear, so you get a novel experience in preparing your popcorn while enjoying this variety’s characteristically tender texture and naturally salty flavor. Even better, popping on the cob actually adds a unique flavor over conventional air-popping. The Popcob includes a microwavable bag, so cooking it with kids becomes an exciting occasion! And yes, it’s really fun for adults too.
